After lunch, explore El Puerto Castle with a Spanish guide. The medieval fortress is the heart of El Puerto de Santa María with a fascinating history; A mosque was built on Roman remains in 1264 AD and the qibla (the site of prayer indicating the direction of Mecca) remains. The mosque was transformed into a fortified church and later (end of 14thC) an outer wall was built to create the castle as it appears today. It is now owned by a Portuguese bodega, housing numerous barrels.

No trip to Spain is complete without sampling the local cuisine. Indulge in delicious churros dipped in chocolate before putting understanding skills to the test by watching a Spanish film at Spark School.
