Authentic Costa Rican food is made on wooden stoves and the country’s gastronomy has a legacy of influences from indigenous populations and European arrivals, as well as regional variations. From spicy Afro-Caribbean cuisine to the corn-based Guanacaste diet, and the central region’s agricultural landscapes where meat & veg are the staple. Rice, beans and tropical fruit are in abundance.

During this hands-on experience you’ll learn how to prepare typical dishes such as gallo pinto or casado, before sitting down with your host to enjoy your culinary creations!
