Ultramarine

Multi Destination

Introduction

The spacious Ultramarine is a purpose-built expedition ship, offering a choice of adventure activities as well as the chance to explore by helicopter.

Maximum passengers: 199

New for 2021, the Ultramarine has been specifically designed for expedition cruising, with plenty of outside space for optimum wildlife viewing and two on-board helicopters available for aerial exploration. With a 1A+/PC6 ice class the Ultramarine is well-equipped for cruising polar waters, whilst its sustainability features include the innovative Micro Auto Gasification System (MAGS) which converts waste into energy on board, eliminating the environmental impact of waste transportation.

The ship features a range of spacious guest suites, many with a private balcony and all with ocean views. Public areas include a choice of 2 dining rooms, 4 bars, a panorama lounge, dedicated lecture theatre, library and gift shop. A spa, fitness centre and oceanview sauna can be found on deck 7.

A wide choice of adventure activities are available on board the Ultramarine, ranging from kayaking and paddleboarding to mountaineering, cross-country skiing, hiking and overnight camping (activities vary by departure). The ship’s two twin-engine Airbus H145 helicopters are the most fuel-efficient in their class, featuring a small external footprint and reduced noise pollution.
