Deep in the heart of Tortuguero’s jungles and lagoons, set amidst colourful tropical gardens, lies Manatus Lodge. This small, friendly lodge provides a friendly oasis in the Costa Rican wilderness.

Manatus features just 12 guest rooms, each equipped with air conditioning, an inviting outside shower, and a private terrace. The use of warm woods and natural tones creates a calming vibe, and reflects the surrounding natural environment.

The lodge’s restaurant serves an a la carte menu, highlighting the delicious Caribbean fusion cuisine for which the region is known. Other facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, beautiful gardens, a private forest reserve, panoramic dock, fitness room and spa.

Daily activities from the lodge include cruising through the canals to spot wildlife such as monkeys, caimans and exotic birds, and visits to the nearby village for an insight into local life. Between July and October you may also have the chance to witness the incredible sight of sea turtles nesting and hatching on Tortuguero’s wild beaches.
