Isla Chiquita Glamping, Nicoya Gulf

Isla Chiquita Glamping offers a unique upscale camping experience, combining immersion in nature with a few home comforts! Located in the beautiful Gulf of Nicoya and accessible only by sea or helicopter, here you can enjoy an island escape like no other.

Arriving by boat from the port town of Puntarenas, you’ll find 18 spacious safari-style tents, each thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. Features include king-sized beds and premium linens, private bathrooms with hot water and eco-friendly toiletries, outdoor showers for a unique bathing experience, ceiling fans to keep you cool in the tropical climate and private decks with stunning views of the ocean or surrounding jungle. The Premium tents also each have a private plunge pool, and there are a limited number of air-conditioned tents too. Electricity and Wi-Fi allows you to stay connected (and cool!) during your stay.

Isla Chiquita’s two on-site restaurants serve a variety of tasty dishes highlighting local ingredients and traditional Costa Rican flavours. Enjoy a cooked-to-order breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner featuring fresh seafood and locally sourced produce. The cocktail bar is best place to be for sundowner drinks with ocean views.

The resort offers a diverse array of optional activities and eco-adventures, from self-guided kayaking and stand-up paddle-boarding to bird watching, hiking the island’s Symbiosis Trail, snorkeling, and island-hopping tours. It’s also one of the only places in Costa Rica to witness the incredible spectacle of bioluminescence in the water as darkness falls. For relaxation you can visit the island’s Nimbu Spa, try out the outdoor yoga deck, lounge by the pool or head to the beachfront cabanas.
