Denali Backcountry Lodge

Introduction

This lodge, featuring 42 rustic cabins, sits in the very heart of Denali National Park. Located at the end of an isolated, restricted-access road, this is the ideal way to enjoy the magnificent Alaskan wilderness. A minimum 2-night stay is recommended in order to take advantage of the activities available, including guided nature hikes, gold-panning, mountain-biking and sightseeing flights. The lodge also offers regular presentations on the area’s natural history.

Each cabin is heated, with a private bathroom and there are no TVs, internet or even mobile coverage, allowing you to truly escape from everyday life. The deluxe creekside cabins feature a private deck with views over Moose Creek, but you can also relax in the main lodge, which features a dining room, bar and lounge.

Transportation to the lodge is by bus transfer or scenic flight only and no private vehicles are permitted. The bus transfer provides an excellent opportunity for sightseeing during the 6-7 hour journey, while the flight offers some spectacular views over Denali. Please note this property is not recommended for younger children due to its remote location.
