Each spacious casita features a king size bed and stunning rainfall shower. Outside the private deck boasts its own naturally-heated spring water plunge pool and views to die for, over the canyon and the rainforest to the brooding volcano beyond. The property’s meandering jungle trails offer the chance to stretch your legs and work up an appetite.

Amor Arenal takes its dining seriously, with a choice of styles to suit all tastes. Organic, local ingredients form an international menu with a Latin American twist at the El Rancho restaurant and bar. Barbecue your choice of prepared produce to your liking on your own table-side grill at Tico Grill. Or head to La Granea for some mouthwatering baked good along with the best Costa Rican coffee. If you’re after something a little stronger you can work your way through the vibrant cocktail menu at La Jaranita bar, or take advantage of lazy afternoon at the pool’s awim-up Wet Bar.

The lodge makes the most of its unique setting with 3 natural spring pools – the warm waters of the bar pool, a cool-water mineralised main pool, and the secluded lounging pool which sits surrounded by tropical vegetation. There’s also an on-site spa offering a range of treatments, a gym, complimentary yoga sessions and a breath-taking meditation deck overlooking the rainforest.
